LCFC v Brighton
#Rodgers tinkered with his squad, playing 2 defensive midfielders which should have allowed #Maddison and #Gray freedom to roam further forward to link up with #Vardy and #Innacheo. Well it did not work, and all I can say is that I am glad I didn't pay to watch this game. I used the Now TV voucher the club kindly sent all season ticket holders.
The first half was like watching one #Puel's matches, slow and lethargic build up, sideways passing and no real goal threat. In fact #Brighton should have gone in at half time 1-0 up. They were thwarted by a fine save by #Kasper diving to his right to palm away a well placed penalty. I don' believe we registered a shot on target in the first half.
In the second half we started a little better, played with a bit more tempo but still looked lost at sea! We had a lot more possession but still couldn't find a way to get a strike on goal and that summed up the night. I think we have a few players who miss the crowd especially at home and that is to be expected because we are such great fans!
Just before full time the ball struck the arm of a #Brighton defender in their box after a deflected #Vardy header, but without the influence of any crowd the ref waived it away and #VAR concurred. What a waste of two hours! Can we have our game back please!
