This was an all round better performance than the weekend against arguably a better team and 3 vital points in our quest for #championsleague football next season.
#Leicester with Captain #WesMorgan replacing the suspended #Söyüncü, gave a debut to young #LukeThomas in the absence of the injured #Fuchs.
#LCFC started bright with #Thomas making a fine start in his debut game. #Tielemans was pulling the strings in midfield and with #Perez and #Vardy looking lively it seemed only a matter of time before we scored. #Vardy went close following a cross from #Justin but his shot across the goal was deflected by #Henderson's legs away from goal.
But then a great pull back from #Thomas on the left found #Perez in the box and he calmly stroked the ball past #Henderson to make it 1-0. The only time #SheffUtd looked remotely dangerous in the first half was from set pieces.
#SheffUtd rang the changes at half-lime bringing on 3 subs and although it had the desired affect for it short time with #LCFC having #Kasper to thank yet again for maintaining their lead with a great one handed reaction save from a deflected shot. By now #LCFC who had replaced #Perez with #Choudhury were quite happy to sit deep and defend and play their patient passing game and play on the break,
As the game wore on #LCFC began to carve out a number of chances on the break. #Vardy hit the outside of the post following a great through ball by the influential #Tielemans. Then #Vardy turned provider with two great assists for #Barnes but both chances were spurned when he should have done better. But the match and result was put beyond doubt when #Vardy again raced away and found #Gray in the box who had replaced #Barnes and his low angled shot found the corner of the net to make it 2-0 and goodnight #Sheffield.
In summary a much better performance from #LeicesterCity and more like the #Leicester we saw in the first half of the season which gives the fans great hope that we can go to #Spurs and get all 3 points!
